RKJ Developments and Lettings are proud to be a member of UKALA, a not-for profit association dedicated to representing the interests of responsible letting and management agents.
In partnership with the National Landlords Association, it is the only trade organisation committed to working with agents, landlords and tenants to ensure complete peace of mind whatever your rental needs.
Renting a property is often a big commitment and can be a stressful time, so it is important to have some guidelines and general advice on what to do and what not to do to make your tenancy as successful as possible.
Many private landlords let their property through a letting agent and very often you will find that your tenant dealings are with the agent rather than the landlord. So, what should you consider when choosing an agent?
Currently, letting agents are not subject to specific government regulation, so anyone can set themselves up in business as a letting agent. It is therefore important that you rent a property of a reputable letting agency which is affiliated with a trade body operating a Code of Practice.
